About Us

We have a proud history of providing quality early childhood education to children in the Cronulla community since 1939. Over 70 years later, we have become an integral part of the local community caring not only for our children, but providing opportunities for their families to access support networks and make connections with local services.

Our Culture

Learning

A play based curriculum approach strongly supports the Belonging Being and Becoming of every child as outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework . We enjoy spontaneity and the great value in learning from each moment, person and resource that we may encounter. Our learning environment and the natural world are integral elements of our lives, the importance of sustainability is intentionally yet authentically ingrained. Commitment to a positive and intentional transition to school processes is embedded throughout all aspects of our learning program, routine , environment and interactions.

Connecting

We connect with peers, educators, families, our community and wider networks. Connecting with individuals includes a strong commitment to equity and inclusion. Connection strengthens social skills, communication and opportunities for life long learning. Through connecting we show respect and understanding of diversity, learn about ourselves as well as scaffold learning for others. Connection focuses on respectful, collaborative and meaningful relationships between management, educators, families, children and our broader community.

What The Parents Say

Cronulla Preschool from our experience has helped develop our daughters social skills, her confidence, her emotional awareness as well as help her with risk playing.

This is as important to us as academic skills which Cronulla Preschool also implements through a play { based curriculum } and daily interactions.

Kids who transition to school the following year are starting with a range of skills including social and emotional, to help navigate their first year in big school.

Social, Emotional and Academic Skills, Preschool has it all

We can tell that our students that come from Cronulla Preschool have been learning and nurtured in an environment that encourages inquisitive play, problem solving and creativity. They demonstrate strong social and emotional skills that support them in the transition to BIG school. A play-based learning environment, with a focus on school readiness, supports our incoming students to have the skills and self-confidence to adapt to the social and academic expectation of school.
